Drop a note to say hi. There is a contact form. Fill it in, send it. Easy! All mail goes directly to me…Dave. Agents and Spam-bots kick in later.

Dave loves making people laugh. He’s been on the SA comedy scene since 1997, when he started hosting The ‘Coffee Lounge Comedy Club’. He was soon offered an open spot at the first Smirnoff Comedy festival. “The Longest 7 minutes of my life” (and possibly for that audience too). He was asked to join some Cape Comedy Collective at a new venue, The Independant Armchair Theatre. The gig ran for almost 4 years and unearthed a pool of talent including Riaad Moosa, Conrad Coch, Cokey Falkow, Marc Lottering and Kurt Schoonraad to name a few. It was at the ‘Armchair’ that Dave was spotted doing an improvised act called ‘Agony barman Dave’.

He was cast for a campaign and the ads went on to win 2 Loerie Awards (One Gold) and a Pendoring. That made Dave’s face a household ‘face’. Since then he has performed at comedy engagements from Golf days to 3 day conferences as the ‘Facilitator’. Including The Cape Town International Comedy Festival and Hosted the Vodacom Funny Festival. The first SA comics to be invited to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012. He won the Red Bull comedy Jam, pro section in 2004 and The Nando’s Kicking Comedy Award for the ‘Most original approach to comedy’ at the National Arts Festival 2008. He has written scripts for corporate videos, and was a writer on Tonight with Trevor Noah on Mnet in 2010. He has had his Special aired on Comedy Central Africa, and he also won the ‘Roast Battle’ on Comedy Central. On Friday mornings between 9 & 10am he hosts a comedy podcast on, (download the app and listen.) His ablitly to adapt to any situation is what makes him such a bankable act.
