Let’s make washroom advertising fun?
What? Yip, they made a 20 min AV to show their clients. You see the sales of bathroom advertising is not an easy job. You can’t say to a client ‘hey why not put you product in a cubicle while people take a dump?’ So they thought that I could add some humour to the presentation. For those of you who always say I can’t keep to a script? Bam! 23 pages of scripted dialogue. And the Video at the bottom is mostly the outtakes. Great filming with Brandon from Agent Orange.Keep reading →

Hilighting Burn victims in SA
Every year a handful of celebrities bare some skin to highlight some cause. This year they decided to highlight burns, especially since burns leave permanent scars on the skin. The juxtapose between a celebrity taking off their clothes to a burn survivor is that feeling of total nakedness and everyone staring, along with the vulnerability that goes with it. Burns are not given enough light and focus and through the campaign they bring this burning issue to the viewers. At the same time it assists us to build awareness about burns, the prevention and the cause. And the biggest bonus is that Marie Claire South Africa have assisted Burn Foundation Southern Africa in raising funds! More pics and video click the ‘Keep reading’ thingy.
A UFO cult is backing Africa’s first clitoral restoration hospital in Burkina Faso. It will offer a controversial surgery to victims of female genital mutilation.
So it might seem strange for you to believe in what they believe in, but these guys are actually doing some good! Take a look.
Who are these people?
The beginnings of Raëlism are rooted in the claims of a French former automobile journalist and race car driver Claude Vorilhon. In his books The Book Which Tells the Truth (1974) and Extraterrestrials Took Me to their Planet (1975), Vorilhon alleges that he had alien encounters with beings who gave him knowledge of the origins of all major religions.
The movement traces its beginnings to a conference in Paris, France of two thousand people in 1974. From there, the MADECH organization was born. The name MADECH is a double acronym in the French language. The first stands for “Movement for the welcoming of the Elohim, creators of humanity”Keep reading →

Johannesburg, 21 October 2011: Faces will light up when The Smile Foundation and kulula.com celebrate their first Smile Week in early November. With the help of kulula fans, the airline, in partnership with The Smile Foundation, has raised over R800 000 that will grant 60 disadvantaged children the opportunity to receive brand new smiles.
During the first kulula Smile Week, which runs from 31 October until 4 November 2011, 30 children will undergo life-changing facial reconstructive surgery at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. Apart from cleft lip and palate repairs, numerous other reconstructive surgical procedures will take place during this week. Three lengthy facial reanimation surgeries will also be performed by Professor George Psaras, Medical Director of The Smile Foundation and the team from the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University of Witwatersrand. Prof. Psaras is one of only a select few surgeons in the world skilled to perform this complex surgery.
“Facial reanimation involves the grafting of the Gracillis muscle from the inner thigh and parachuting this into the cheek. Microsurgery is then conducted to attach the veins, nerves and arteries,” says Psaras.Keep reading →
Thank You and Congratulations
On behalf of everyone at the Topsy Foundation I would like to say a very big thank you for your support and a huge congratulations.
We had 9 top celebrity comedians cycling for Topsy in the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge this year. 8 of them raced against Chris Forrest in a relay. The relay team consisted of John Vlismas, Nik Rabinowitz Ndumiso Lindi, Warren Robertson, Trevor Gumbi, Dave Levinsohn, Joey Rasdien and Malcolm Ferreira. It was called the Topsy HERO Race Against Forrest. These comedians all rode the same brand new mountain bicycle donated by Linden Cycles.
Once again a HUGE Thank you to all of you for a wonderful and successful
event. We raised R317k in the Live auction, R100k in Pledges and possibly
R100k in the Silent Auction. The Amy Biehl Foundation has received such positive feedback.
I took part in a Health Survey!
Check it out you can win R5000!
CAN YOU SEE DARREN MAUL AND NATANIEL IN THIS PIC?
We performed at Bubba J’s Benoni and the local newspaper were all over us… like pepperazzis’ (Is that a kind of Pizza?). Actually we made them take the pic.
In August 2010 the guys at Khuluma magazine, asked me to edit the thing. It was huge fun, and they were extremely grateful, and have asked me to take over the entire Touchline Media stable of magazines…
Once upon a time there were some judges nobody had ever heard of, who gave out awards for comedy. We thought… Wouldn’t it be nice if the comics voted for the people in the industry? And maybe also the actual people who regularly go to dark and dirty comedy clubs got to Vote?Keep reading →
Sometimes comedians will lie and say they love doing golf days. Yip a bunch of drunk guys heckling at the prize-giving is their idea of a great gig? But sometimes a really cool bunch of people get it right.
The guys at Golf Digest have asked me to MC at the Prize-giving for 8 golf days. The Subs Challenge is truly one of the best golfing experiences currently on offer. The readers get to meet each other, and they get to play the best courses in the country. The winners of each golf day all get to go to Sun City to play for a chance to go to the Tournament in Mauritius. Nice…Keep reading →
